So many aspiring songwriters and artists are faced with barriers to realizing their dreams, particularly in underserved communities. As a Hall of Fame Songwriter and creative visionary, Allee Willis’ passion was to give back and ensure a future for these artists.
Through the Willis Wonderland Foundation, Allee’s legacy will live on, offering support and advancement for songwriters and multimedia artists in the form of mentorships, seminars, lectures, and podcasts. Artist-in-Residence programs that explore the intersection between songwriting, art, and technology will be hosted at her iconic Willis Wonderland home (named for her first “Boogie Wonderland” royalty check). The house embodies her prolific artistry and exhibits one of the world’s largest collections of pop-culture memorabilia – as well as her physical and digital archives.
The preservation of Willis Wonderland will perpetuate future generations of artists to be inspired and empowered by her legacy, as well as offer the experience of being immersed into Allee’s extraordinary world.
