Rusty Blazenhoff, Director of Communications
Rusty Blazenhoff is a creative strategist and brand builder with over 30 years of experience connecting people to meaningful stories and cultural icons. Her writing has appeared on indie blogs like Boing Boing, and her inbox zine Rusty’s Electric Dreams has built a devoted following.
For more than a decade, Rusty collaborated with Paul Reubens to shape and grow the Pee-wee Herman brand. She continues to help lead the brand forward after Reubens’ passing in 2023, ensuring his legacy remains vibrant. Her connection with Allee Willis, rooted in their shared love of kitsch, drives her work with the Willis Wonderland Foundation, where she preserves and expands Allee’s creative legacy. As Director of Communications, Rusty uses her expertise in storytelling, branding, and legacy-building to foster creativity and ensure these cultural touchstones inspire future generations. She’s a proud Marshmallow Fluff superfan.
Sean Welch, IT / Archivist
Sean Welch had the honor of serving as Allee’s personal Wizard of Oz starting in 2014, working diligently behind the curtain to keep the digital heart of Willisville beating. He now continues that effort for the Willis Wonderland Foundation. When he isn’t spinning dials and pulling levers wrangling the colossal digital archives which Allee amassed over her lifetime, you might find him resuscitating one of her vintage motorized art pieces, locating hidden gems amidst her collection of kitschy ephemera, or changing light bulbs in one of the many Sputnik lamps at Willis Wonderland. In his spare time, he indulges unhealthy obsessions with rotary engines, convenience store food, and yellow mustard.
